Reflection Paper

Empowerment Technology, meaning you give the permission to technology to mingle with your life. This subject made me realize that there will always be a negative part in using technology it is just a matter of realizing that if you don’t do things that can trigger the negative impact to happen then it will be better. ICT is not just about how it helps people to connect with each other through the use of different gadgets as a medium of communication. Also, it acquires that the information that should be imported from the source should always be reliable, based on facts or experience. Before for me, ICT is just all about computers and surfing the internet, going through various social media accounts and all. Nowadays things were different; I view ICT as a platform for change, a platform wherein netiquettes are being used not to degrade others but to help them know that posting something harsh about someone online will not make them superior rather it will just make other people think that you’re too immature for posting such things. ICT can be a tool for the community to unite for a good cause, to help each other in any terms. The most important learning is that one wrong click posted in the internet, will be a forever dilemma for that person involved. ICT tools help me to achieve higher goals. One of these are gadgets; like a cellphone, it helps me in finding information on something I am curious of or wondered about. Next is the computer or laptop, it also helps me make edits such as MS Word and PowerPoint presentation. For students like me, the ability to use technology efficiently to get work done, creatively to produce work and effectively to communicate and collaborate with others will be critical to survive the 21st Century workplace. The technology has really helped me with my career goals. Yes, I agree with how this lessons can make our life more easier. They are currently being used to communicate and to give information to other in a different aspect. My recommendations regarding ICT uses in the country is that they should follow the right and proper way on using the world of technology. They must follow the etiquettes of any websites and avoid such troubles. I do hope that teenagers nowadays should know how to balance their time in using technologies.
